| GIS Analyst (Houston, TX) |
|
The GIS Analyst performs a range of technical and support functions relating to the day-to-day GIS activity for EMS USA. You will be responsible for assisting the GIS Project Manager in the overall delivery of GIS related projects. You are accountable for implementing your GIS skills and learning new skills to complete projects, meet client deadlines, and meet and/or exceed client expectations. You must protect the EMS USA brand through quality and communication while meeting the varied needs that our client’s business demands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reading, processing, and interpreting field data, as-built work order documentation, and formatting both basic and complex as-built projects into a GIS Application as well as reading, interpreting, reviewing and generating pipeline alignment sheets relating to a GIS Application.
- Performing basic database analysis and maintenance as it pertains to the day-to-day operation of the GIS and associated applications.
- Reading and interpreting supporting media such as aerial photography.
- Performing GIS tasks relating to multiple projects at various stages.
- Collecting and gathering GIS data (i.e. finding shapefiles, aerial photographs, etc.) to meet project delivery goals.
- Performing technical and analytical support functions for GIS projects.
- Providing status reports as needed.
- Providing input in discussions concerning day-to-day operations of projects.
- Maintaining customer relationships to ensure that their expectations are met and even exceeded.
- Conducting Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures relating to GIS deliverables.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in geography or equivalent field experience of a technical nature (e.g. cartography, surveying, engineering, forestry, geology, GIS, GPS, etc.) is required.
- Knowledge of the pipeline industry is helpful and highly desired.
Skills & Abilities:
Must possess knowledge of cartographic principles, maps, aerial photography, satellite imagery, and computer programming skills as necessary.
- Requires working knowledge of latest Windows operating systems as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of GIS software including ArcGIS (ArcInfo, ArcView, ArcMap, etc.)
- Ability to act independently and pro-actively to achieve identified goals and objectives in a multi-task, deadline-oriented environment, and accept responsibility and direction.
- Excellent communication and people skills to interface with clients and team members.
- Must be well organized and a team player.
- Must be innovative, organized, able to solve problems, and able to think analytically.

Responsible for the entire life-cycle of customer engagements and long-term client relationships for the Industrial Personnel department of EMS USA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Generating leads;
- Defining customer requirements;
- Negotiating and closing sales;
- Coordinating with (and assisting, as needed,) the recruiting function to ensure employees assigned to an engagement meet the customer’s requirements;
- Coordinating with (and assisting, as needed,) the operating function to ensure delivered services meet the customer’s requirements;
- Coordinating with customers before, during and after engagements to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and that positive, long-term partnerships and relationships are built and maintained;
- Coordinating with (and assisting, as needed,) the administrative function to ensure that customer invoicing is correct, timely, and collected;
- Coordinating with other sales groups within the company;
- Preparing and submitting reports regarding activities, sales plans and forecasts, pricing and discounts, market trends and new product opportunities, competitors, etc.;

| Survey Assistant & Junior Survey Assistant (Pennsylvania) |

Operating within survey policies, guidelines, and procedures, the assistants will work under the supervision of the Survey Party Chief. | Two years experience and training as a CP Tester/Technician or equivalent, with NACE Level 1 certification. Must have knowledge of the following procedures, but not limited to: |

- Engineering standards, practices and procedures
- A comprehensive background in the fundamentals of 49 CFR 192/195
